Who we are

We are dedicated professionals helping companies with industrial partnering in countries where local content legislation applies. Our niche expertise is Nigerian local content and due diligence work in the energy industry. Our employees have extensive industry experience from past operational and managerial positions. They are most often dual degree qualified personnel holding a post graduate business qualification as well as degrees in either engineering or finance. We work with both permanent and talented contract staff in order to serve our clients to the highest quality levels with reliable, flexible and reactive solutions. Adour International is also a member of GEP-AFTP, one of the leading oil and gas industry associations.

Christopher Townsend, Managing Director, established the company after gaining valuable experience whilst living in Nigeria and working alongside the many oil and gas industry stakeholders. He is very familiar with the local content legislation, the in-country specific bidding requirements and more generally the excellent opportunities for manufacturing and service companies to do business in Nigeria through local partnerships whilst at the same time enabling indigenous capability and capacity development. He has twenty years combined experience from the energy and aerospace industries and has held various business leadership positions and advisory roles to industry equipment manufacturers and service providers in Africa, Europe and the United States. He is a UK chartered engineer (CEng), holds an Executive MBA from the HEC Paris business school in France and mechanical engineering degrees from the UK and France. A British national, he speaks fluent French and has a strong command of German in addition to his native English.
